The Earth Charter and the Ark of Hope
Eco-socialism as a tool for enslavement

http://modernhistoryproject.org/mhp?Article=ArkOfHope

We should care for our part of the Earth. Our families, our homes, our land, and our animals. We can be veterinarians, forest rangers, and many other caring professionals. But being involved in an activist organization is not right for Christians.

sadly the best lies are the ones witht he most truth; something i call "cynide in the applesause" and it is Satan's most powerful tricks. I see NJ's point and agree, there is good in wanting to take care of what is given to you; a car, money, family(not in that order at all), the earth included. The evil is in how it is done, and most importantly why.

could someone tell me what kind of "breeding barn" the cations of the pictures at that website refer to? i hope it is NOT what i think it might be.

How sad that they worship that box. What good will it do them if they save the Earth but lose their eternal souls? If they want to improve the environment, there are better ways to do it than worshipping some box, which does nothing at all to help the environment.

God Bless you my dear; I know you did not mean to offend, and I understand your stand on this issue. There are times when I get so frustrated at the way the Christian Fellowship is not willing to take strong stands on particular issues, like save the whales or save the forests or any of the 'worldly problems' the total reliance on fossil fuels, and oil, deforestation for construction and fuel, depleteing the soils of the earth by improper farming. all resulting in third world countries and even this nation feeling a lack of raw materials, for existance.

When people did take a stance they were labeled radicals, and to be avoided. Now the new age movement aligned with asian philosophies, has taken on the mantle, and now the Christian community has gotten up in arms.

Sad state of affairs.

Brother Joel,
I am sorry I did not mean to offend you at all,I was offened that anyone could find anything good in this at all. Peace brother [Kiss]
While it is true that the Bible vividly describes the end of this world as we know it that is no excuse for not being good stewards of God's creation.

He has given us a home here on earth and, in fact, He says that if we don't do our job in praising Him, even the rocks will cry out in worship to God their creator. This means that God's creation, just by existing, is worship of His name.

God gave us dominion over the land and the animals. Genesis tells us that God said, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground" (Genesis 1:28). This means that we are to exercise leadership over the resources that God has given us.

Furthermore, in Genesis 2:15, it says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” This charge was outlined right from the beginning: Take care of God’s creation.

We cannot take a defeatist attitude and just let things fall apart. We each have a duty to each other to care for the world around us. It is true that we know how the story ends, but we are to live it out to completion, caring for all that God has blessed us with and preparing for His coming by spreading the Word.

I think both Kindgo and njclary have made very good statements about the evils of the New Age based Earth Charter. njclary expressed a need for Christians to be more involved instead of letting non-Christians use it to leverage their occultish beliefs.

Reluctantly I have to agree with Kindgo that the New Age one world government forces are going to use such ideas as "peace on earth", "save the earth's environment" to leverage a non-Christian leadership over the world.

The increasing world population at 6 billion now, makes it very difficult to restrict resources except as a token gesture. How can resources be restricted to sustain 6 billion people?

My hope is that there will be a true Christian revival instead of a pretend revival based on fun and games.

There's no question that it's a scary thought to see those New Age people in those pictures promoting an occultic vision of earth's environment, when they should be the very ones promoting Christ.

Come-on Kindgo; you know better than to make that statement about me. That is not what I said, and not what I meant. Please give me more credit than that. God Created this world for His people to live in, and take care of. As a parent gives responsibility to his/her child so God gave us the responsibility for His creation. It was true with Adam and is true today. Yes we are to spread the Gospel, But our responsibility for this world never stopped.

God Bless

Joel

The Earth Charter is a new world order initiative recently undertaken at the United Nations that I believe is set to usher us into a one world government, economical, and religious system.

It is closely tied to the United Religions Initiative. Upon initially reading the document it doesn't seem too threatening but the fine print is what you need to tune yourself into.

This document is set to become the new Ten Commandments on Earth or, as the case may be, the Sixteen Commandments if you follow their line of thinking.

As we approach the end times scenario foretold by the prophets it's important to examine this document carefully as it may have a prominent role in the future of mankind. The author of the Earth Charter, Mikhail Gorbachev, views the Earth Charter as a "Sermon on the Mount" for the future of mankind, a frightening analogy.

It's his atheistic vision to see the Earth Charter take the place of the Bible in guiding us morally.

And you thought Mikhail Gorbachev was dead politically? A word search on most search engines will provide a ton of articles on the Earth Charter.

I hope you'll read over a handful of them to see how global the movement is to have the Earth Charter adopted. The Earth Charter website says they hope to have the Earth Charter endorsed by the United Nations this year-2002.

Most of us realize Satan will use the Anti-Christ to make a mockery of God and God's law during the tribulation period.

The prophet Daniel describes this to us in the 70 weeks of Daniel in the Bible. The abomination of desolation will occur when the Anti-Christ enters the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God.

Will he bring the Earth Charter with him as the new covenant between him and the inhabitants of Earth to make a mockery of God's covenant handed down to Moses?

I believe there is evidence to believe he in fact will! The Earth Charter is being carried around in a 21st century replica of the Ark of the Covenant called the Ark of Hope.

The Ark of Hope is covered with symbols on each side that represent Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. A secular-minded person wouldn't give these symbols a second glance but investigation reveals these are symbols of Earth worship, paganism, and Wiccan witchcraft.

They also are the words used to represent each of the points of the Pentagram with Spirit being the top point. Moving clock-wise around the Pentagram the remaining points are: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire.

I foresee the Anti-Christ carrying the Earth Charter into the third Holy Temple during the abomination of desolation. I can see his followers clearly in my mind carrying the evil Ark of Hope up the steps of the Holy Temple mocking our Heavenly Father as he enters the Temple.

I believe this blasphemous document is going to be mankind's Declaration of Independence from God under the leadership of the Anti-Christ.

Keep looking up.....our redemption is at hand.

So you think we should be in that picture?

These people are worshiping a box??

I believe all christians should take care of there little part of the earth.

What we were commanded to do?

Spread the Gospel of Jesus.

I am putting all my hope in HIM!

He is coming back and will fix everything that sin has messed up.

But till then I will worship HIM and stay far from idol worship.

Romans 1:25 "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen."

I don't argue this! I agree that there are many things, with this movement, that upset me. and by the way, Paul winter is a new age artist who plays and records in the Church of St. John the Divine, in New York.and you should see some of the concerts done there!

BUT all this notwithstanding, this movement sponsored by the new age groups and there are many, has teeth. much of the visual impact is clearly of the devil. the Ark of hope and all.
As an architect and artist, I am distressed at what has been done to this earthly home. and I am reminded of the Book of Genesis, where man is told to take care of this place, and today as Christians, adopted children of God, why are'nt we?

That should be us in those pictures.

Joel, these people are worshiping this
'Ark of Hope'

Please go back and take another look, they are not trying to save the earth, they are worshiping trees and and this 'Ark of Hope' thing!

This flies right in my face as I am sure its an insult at the least to Jesus!

Romans 9:11-24

Our Eschatology may vary even our Ecclesiology may be disputed among us but our Soteriology most assume a singularity and exclusivity which in biblical term is known as Quote; "The Narrow Way" and Quote!

Over the past number of years there has been a ground swell of emotion over the destruction and devastation of this planet and the demise of thousands of species, because of mankinds need to survive regardless of the cost.

This problem has been noted for years and NO ONE has one a thing about it. The Christian community mouths platitudes, and makes pointless gestures, but has done absolutely nothing, to actively stop or bring some sort of sanity to this travesty.

There are and for years have been various groups who strive to stop some of the destruction, but it is like throwing pebbles in the ocean.

Oil spills and the slow elimination of oil resources, open pit mining for minerals and coal, ruining our forests, and the forests being over timbered, so that wood supplies have dwindled, over fishing, over hunting, over everything. So many other items, that mankind is using up.

What is so scarry about this web site except that the new age movement has taken up the banner that the Christian community hides from.
SOMEBODY has got to do it!!! Mankind is destroying itself. and it's home. Now is it the Fundamental view to let it happen in hopes that the Lord will return to rescue us from this mess?

Please please!! I am not new age, all I get positive from the new age movement is the music, which I prefer to call fusion classical. BUT WHEN WILL THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY QUIT HIDING???
why are'nt we there to take up this banner?? Instead of hiding behind empty rhetoric?

God Bless

Joel
