According to The Sheep and the Goats of (Matt 25)what they did and did not do determined if they really knew Him or not!
Why call Me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?
You call Me the Way and walk Me not!
You call Me the Life and live Me not!
You call Me Master and obey Me not!
You call Me Bread and eat Me not!
You call Me Truth and believe Me not!
You call Me Lord and serve Me not!
If I condemn you blame Me not.
Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many shall come to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? At the burning bush Moses was told to remove the sandals from his feet for the place in which he was standing was Holy ground...yet Moses was the only one that God spoke to face to face. He allowed Moses to know Him and showed him His glory.
John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me"
On the day that Jesus separates the sheep from the goats, the only thing that is going to matter is whether or not you know Jesus and are known by The Lord.
The Sheep and the Goats (Matt 25)
31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

In my opinion, the great single need of the moment is that light-hearted superficial religionists be struck down with a vision of God high and lifted up, with His train filling the temple. The holy art of worship seems to have passed away like the Shekinah glory from the tabernacle. As a result, we are left to our own devices and forced to make up the lack of spontaneous worship by bringing in countless cheap and tawdry activities to hold the attention of the church people.
