Amen Drew. self-help, self-esteem, self- assurance, self-awareness, All about self.

Whatever happened to dying to ones-self?
Whatever happened to I must decrease So He can Increase? Whatever happened to Lifting Jesus up instead of self up?

There is truly nothing NEW under the sun.

Place your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Reject this positive confession, speak your own reality into existence motivational pablum.

http://www.watchman.org/reltop/posconf.htm

For Christians words and faith are important, but there is a limit to what words can do.

It can help or hurt a close friend or a total stranger by what one says, but to treat words as if they were some "star wars" type weapon by which one alters or manipulates reality is not biblical, but Occultic. If one could change reality by the power of words spoken, then that would put man on the same level with God. This is exactly what teachers of the "positive confession," or word-faith movement, claim.

We are told by God Himself that He spoke the creation into existence (Genesis 1). He has not given that power to anyone else!

Romans 3:10-12
As it is written: "There is none
righteous, no, not one; There is none
who understands; There is none who
seeks after God. They have all turned
aside; They have together become
unprofitable; There is none who does
good, no, not one."

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin
entered the world, and death through
sin, and thus death spread to all men,
because all sinned

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love
toward us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:8-11
But what does it say? "The word is
near you, in your mouth and in your
heart" (that is, the word of faith which
we preach): that if you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe
in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For
with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. For
the Scripture says, "Whoever believes
on Him will not be put to shame."

Romans 2:4
Or do you despise the riches of His
goodness, forbearance, and
longsuffering, not knowing that the
goodness of God leads you to
repentance?

Romans 6:3-7
Or do you not know that as many of us
as were baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into His death? Therefore we
were buried with Him through baptism
into death, that just as Christ was raised
from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life. For if we have been
united together in the likeness of His
death, certainly we also shall be in the
likeness of His resurrection, knowing
this, that our old man was crucified
with Him, that the body of sin might be
done away with, that we should no
longer be slaves of sin. For he who has
died has been freed from sin.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We must admit that we are a sinner:
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Be willing to turn from sin (repent):
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead Romans 10:9-10

Through prayer invite Jesus into your life to become your personal savior:
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Pray this prayer if you want to receive Christ:
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal savior. Amen.

1) read your Bible every day to get to know Jesus Christ better, and the book of John is a great place to start.

2)Talk to God every day in prayer every day He is as close as your very next breath.

3)Be baptized, worship, fellowship and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority.

4)Tell others about Jesus Christ.

Don't quit because you're alone.
Don't quit because it's tough.
Don't quit because you're out of your comfort zone.

Don't quit because you're mad.
Don't quit because you're sad.
Don't quit because no one seems to help or care.
Don't quit because it's taking so long.
Don't quit because you see no reward.
Don't quit because you think it's too late.
Don't quit...stick with it.

Speak victory into your life.
Speak success into your life.
Speak determination into your life.
Speak love into your life.
Speak strength and courage into your life.

As you learn to clear your mind of stress, let go
and grow in faith, action and perseverance, I believe

something great is about to happen in your life.

God says in Isaiah 43,

"I will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

So take in the joy of living and giving.

Get up and stand strong on His promises.

Get ready for a breakthrough.

A new season is here.

If you've been lost...you will be found.

A new road is being built for you to walk on.

Where there was once a desert and despair,

you will see rivers of abundance, love and success.

Say it with me.....

"SOMETHING GREAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN !"
