This devotional is a discipleship tool that is provided by Richard Truex an Internet Pastors.com Discipleship Minister.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes in our lives, we manage to accumulate more problems and worries than our hearts can possibly handle. When this happens, take a blank piece of paper and on the Top write “Today”. Then write all the bad things that have happened, all your heartaches, your worries, your greatest fears and failures … all the things you were unable to understand, to solve, or to accomplish on this day.

Then you take the paper, fold it over in the center and write on it: “Yesterday”. As you do this, you are resigning it to history and you are committing it into God’s hands. You are also releasing all the pressure, the hurt, the pain, the tears and all of your suffering … into the hands of the One who died so that you would not have to carry these burdens.

So when you’ve finally been able to give up and have surrendered all these things into God’s hands and brought the day to an end, it is then you realize that no matter what you do, how hard you try, or how you may struggle – you can never go back and you can never change “Yesterday”. BUT you also find that you can rest in the peace and knowledge that the Lord of all, who has planned your life before the very beginning of time, has also prepared your way before you. AND that for every lost “Yesterday”, He brings a new “Tomorrow” and with it - He gives you another “Today”

… for His Mercies Are New Every Morning!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I pray that the Lord bless you with His truth today!
