Psalm 85:6 "Will YOU not revive us again, that YOUR people may rejoice in YOU?"

Psalm 85:5 "Will YOU be angry with us forever? Will YOU prolong YOUR anger and disfavor and spread it out to all generations?"

Our nation has been faced with many tragedies in this last year. In the Scripture we see that other people at other times have walked through the vale of tears. Many have ask of GOD these same questions. Today people look at this past year with bitter disillusionment that this happened in our nation that we who supposedly are a great nation could be so vulnerable. They are seeking but what do they seek?

These people many found themselves lacking in a source a of faith. They still seek because the foundation has never been laid for them. GOD is willing to show them and others that HE HIMSELF is gracious and that HE has provided a gift and a way for each individual person that will come to HIM.

That is where the dedicated can do the impossible. Amid the desolation in these peoples lives we can shine the Light of the LORD JESUS. But in order to do this impossible task we must first understand our role and what must happen before this can be accomplished. Our faith can stagger as we realize that this is a task that will cause others to hang in the balance.

We need to first pray. Pray for ourselves as individuals allowing the LORD to show us our true selves. Confess our sins and make sure that JESUS is reigning in our lives and not we ourselves. We need the blinds removed so that we see what JESUS sees. We need to stop dictating others lives and seek forgiveness for the hurt and anguish we have caused.

We are to be dedicated to JESUS having the HOLY SPIRIT filing and controlling our lives rather than us being dedicated to the jobs of the world. Yes, we are to work. And, YES, we are to provide for our families. Yes, we are to tithe to the LORD. But, we are to do everything as though HE where our employer.

Let me ask a couple of thought questions for you to consider as you reevaluate yourselves in the light of GOD's standards.

Are you attracting attention toward yourselves and your accomplishments without giving JESUS any credit?

Are you holding a grudge or heartache that is building a wall of bitterness in your heart?

Are you the one that has wronged or hurt someone else?

Are you unwilling to confess known sin in your life because you enjoy it to much?

Are you unwilling to see yourself the way GOD sees you so that all sin can be cleansed and removed?

Do you pray for one another?

Are you inconsistent in your life?

Do you want to continue being blind to those around you?

There is too much sin the hearts of the saved. We need to pray to Spiritual Renewal in our lives and the lives of other believers in this country of America. We need a Wales Revival here. We need GOD to do a mighty work in the hearts and lives of believers today. But that will never happen unless we do what 2Chronicles 7:14 says " If MY people, who are called by MY name. will humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity MY face and turn from their wicked and sinful ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land."

Our country of America is suffering from drought, fire, flood, disease, pestilence, terrorism, all manner of things and yet we still don't see the need to return to the LORD GOD JESUS. What will it take?

Second, we need to be available when JESUS speaks. When an opportunity comes to witness about HIM we need to be prepared. How do we get prepared? We need to study and memorized the Word of GOD. It isn't just enough to read a few verses of Scripture and say that you are done for the day. Study involves taking the time to not only read Scripture, but to seek to understand how we can apply it to our lives and to help others apply it in their lives as well.

In order to be better witnesses we need to memorize the Word so that we can give this word to others when the need or the occasion arises. We shouldn't be dependent on the pastor for all the ministry that happens in our church. We are to be ambassadors for JESUS. The Pastor isn't with you on your job, or at the grocery store where you shop. There are people that need JESUS would you deprive them of knowing HIM simple because you have failed to do what you are called to do? I hope not. I hope that each you will seek JESUS first and let all the other things in your life fall in line after HIM.
