I think it may be God's judgement on England has already passed to a certain extent, since they have fallen from an empire to a kind of backwater power in the last 100 years or so.

I guess He has a plan for all nations that forsake Him, huh?

Reading Isa 34:1-2 Come near, you nations, to hear; And heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, The world and all things that come forth from it. 2 For the indignation of the Lord is against all nations..

It does make one wonder why God has been harsher with American than England. Maybe because America still sees herself as a Christian nation. Remember in the old days, God often punished Israel for idol worship when all around her people were worshipping idols. If nothing else we are an embarrassment to God. We have in God we trust on our money but we fight to take God out of school. We often hear our leaders asking the people to pray for missing children (and we should), yet legally every day untold number of babies are killed in the womb.
We want God to bless us, but don't tell us not to live a lifestyle that is contrary to the Bible.
The question is not why has God punished American but why has God been so patient with her.

In all the news about the hurricanes and their devastation in the USA, it seems like Israel has taken a back seat to the media, and is no longer front page news.

I know that any who love Israel and pray for her were heartbroken at the sight of the Jewish settlers being forcibly removed from Gaza. Wasn't it just days after that that Katrina hit us?

What happened to the rest of the world, that is, those nations who are working on Israel government leaders to 'give up' even more land? Did any other nation have "natural disasters" hit them? If not or if so, why do you think it was so?

As an aside, was anyone else surprised to learn that Mississippi had such huge casinos? Or that New Orleans began it's history as a penal colony? Or that "Southern Decadence Day" was put off indefinitely for the first time in 34 years because of Katrina?
