To hate is not the opposite of love!
God has given his children the capacity to hate all manner of dysfunction be it manipulation or greed or paedophilia etc.
Hate is not the problem. Its incorrect application is.
To control or attempt to control others is the manifestation of the lack of love. Control is the opposite of love.
Control of others is the primary characteristic of Satan and those who are his children exhibit his characteristics.
God's children exhibit characteristics akin to God as described in 1 John and Galations 5. Go on, look it up!
Jesus chastised the religious folk who attempted to corner him. They where not only trying to control Jesus but felt threatened by the liberation Jesus was offering his listeners which they had control of.
This principle has been the case all through history
Jesus's words, 'by their fruits you will know them' are amazingly scant when it comes to identifying God's children or no. Have you ever wondered why Jesus never elaborated?
When Jesus was on trial both before the Sanhedrin and the Roman Govenor it is noteworthy to mark the attitudes and responses of both Jesus and his oppressors.
However, a question arises when we read of Jesus's whip wielding exercise in the temple. Would anyone like to share their thoughts in the light of this topic? ![[type]](graemlins/type.gif)

A Christian and a Child of God, is someone who has accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We often say a believer is a Christian but there is more then believing that Jesus is God. Satan and his demons believe that God is real but they rejected Him.
Like you, I am curious to read others comments on this subject.
