The greatest comfort in life does not necessarily come from knowing all the answers or from experience, or difficulty. Rather is comes from knowing that God is in control of all things, even pain.
God in the midst of pain and suffering will give us a deeper revelation of His grace and power.
Romans; 8:28:
And we know that all things works for the good of those who love God, who have been called to His purpose.
Romans 8:18:
I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.
2 Corinthians 4:17:
For this slight momentary afflictioin is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory, beyond all measure.
There are no formulas, principles, or special techniques to quarantine us from suffering and weakness. It may not matter how hard we pray or how deep we consider our faith to be. We may continue to be subject to troubles.
God's power helps us in our infirmities. His power strengthens us in our weaknesses. The christian walk is about overcoming, and as we learn to comprehend that, we will form the attitude of Paul. Who could and did boast only in God's strength and power. (2 Corinthians 4:7)
