we do not come to you and say to be converted. But why do you convert us?
This is a good question. It may not be your religious law to promulgate your religion. But the Bible teaches every followers of Christ to disseminate the truth of Jesus. Jesus, said “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (Mat 28:19,20). Paul says, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me, yes, woe is me if I don’t preach the gospel” (1 Cor 9:16). Paul also exhorts, “Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season (2 Tim 4:2). Peter said, “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Pet 2:9). Jesus told, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Aets 1:8). From the above illustrative verses we understand that all thedisciples, who follow Jesus must propagate the gospelJesus told, “When you have returned to me, strengthen your brethren (Lk 22:32). It is not changing the religion, but changing the mind. Please read Lk 24:47.
