Watcher writes
quote:
Dispensational theology, taught by nearly all pre-tribulationists, teaches that God has separate strategies for dealing with the Church and the Jews.
The ten-tribed northern kingdom of Israel was never part of the Jews (the Jews were only composed of Judah, Levi, and Benjamin).

The northern kingdom of Israel went into the captivity and was mixed among the nations since 721 B.C., and have not returned yet.

The southern kingdom of the Judah (also known as the Jews) went into captivity in 70 A.D. and joined the house of Israel mixed among the nations.

Gentile proselytes also became part of Israel through the Church.

The Bible declares that the house of Israel and the house of Judah will come up out of their graves and will head to the land of Israel:

Ezekiel 37:12
Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

And presumably all the dead Gentile proselytes of Israel will also be raised at that time.

This also has not happened yet and must be fit somewhere in any end-time scenario.

For me, this is another reason why the rapture will occur at the Second Coming--somehow this event must happen also and at that time the Prince will also start His reign in Israel.

God bless, [Cross] BORN AGAIN

Here's all we need to know about taking Israel out of revelation and replacing her with the church.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Your brother in Christ,
Chuck

A true believer knows that we cannot turn our backs on the Jewish people and that they are indeed God's chosen people.

The tribulation is all about God's covenant to Abraham and fulfilling his promise to give the promise land to Israel. God cannot tell a lie.

It is a well know fact that Israel has turned its back on God time and time again in the OT. They also don't believe in Jesus as a risen Saviour. The tribulation will be a sort of tough love, not only to wake up their nation, but also to fulfill his covenant promise.

During the first part of the tribulation 144,000 will be raised up from the 12 tribes of Israel to convert the Jews. Now what a great miracle is that?? Also, the Bible says that Jews will gather from the four corners of the earth and be brought to their promised land. This is beginning already.

Sorry, God's wrath is a reality. He has to fight against the prince of this world, who won't be totally defeated until that great judgment day.

Watcher, although I do agree with you on the some church beliefs as they believe they "replace" Israel or replacement theology as we know it, it doe not come from the "Post-Tribulation camp as those people believe they will be here to stand side by side with the Jews during the tribulation.

It is more likely the pre-tribbers who are of the belief in replacement theology. Now that they are "the church", they say they are "raptured" away, leaving Israel to the paws of the anti-christ.

But Israel will not be the only nation going thru the Tribulation. John saw myrids of people from EVERY tribe, tongue and Nations coming out of the tribulation having their garments washed by the blood of the Lamb.

The replacement theology teaching comes straight from the theory of a Pre-trib rapture. Rapturing the church and leaving Israel behind.

Some say that God is Israel Groom and Jesus is the Churchs groom. But that makes no sense seeing that God is ONE and hs only ONE called out poeple.

"Dispensational theology teaches that God has different strategies for the Christians and the Jews"?

This quote alone shows the split, the wedge, the replacement if you will.

The "Land" of Israel id Gods land. Not mine, yours but His. There are many verses that speak of the time we are in now where He says "and they divided My Land".

This is where Jesus will rule and reign from for 1000 years after He returns.

Israel will never cease to be a Nation before Him is correct. But are you not also "the Israel of God" as the New Testement teaches that all believers in Jesus have now become a "part of the commonwealth of Israel? And you will go up to Jerusalem as the scriptures say for the Feast of Tabernacles during the Millineal reighn of Christ, everyone from every tribe tongue and Nation who are His will.

This is a big world we live in. Israel will not be the only Nation of peoples going thru the Great Tribulation. John did not say he saw many "Jews" coming out of it, but many different people from different tribes and different tongues and from different Nations.

But Satan wants to set Himself up as "god" in Jerusalem because that is what has been promised to Jesus, He alone is King and Lord and God. He (Jesus) will be the only ruler from there.

Satan does not persecute his own, but he persecutes during the tribulation those who belong to Jesus.

Tribulation by Satan is not the same thing as the wrath of God. These are two different things.

And there are not 2 peoples of God but only ONE called out people. Whether they go home now in death, or whether they come out of the great tribulation.

Post-tribbers believe they will be here side by side with the Jews while pre-tribbers believe they will fly away and leave the rest of world, Jews included to face persecution and be tried in the fire. So I ask you, which one comes closer to "replacement theology"? Shalom

Because Revelation places a strong emphasis on Israel during the tribulation, and not on the church, most post-tribulationists have adopted a replacement theology view in order to maintain the focus on them.

Replacementism is the view that Israel, having failed God, has been replaced by the Church. The Church is now seen as spiritual Israel and spiritual Jerusalem. This teaching claims that all the promises and blessings, in fact Israel's entire inheritance, now belongs to the Church. However, all is not lost for Israel; it gets to keep all the curses.

Dispensational theology, taught by nearly all pre-tribulationists, teaches that God has separate strategies for dealing with the Church and the Jews. When you consider the change in focus, during the tribulation, from the Church to Israel, the pre-trib rapture provides a good explanation for this transfer of attention.

To say that Israel is no longer God's chosen people is really playing with fire because the Antichrist will likely be saying the same thing when he tries to destroy the Jews during the tribulation. I look for people that hold to replacementism to be in the cheering section when the Beast goes on his Jew-killing campaign. "The Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance" (Psalm 94:14).

"This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar - the Lord Almighty is his name: 'Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,' declares the Lord, 'will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me'" (Jeremiah 31:35-36).
