Yes it is. It was a politically motivated move calculated to enhance the prospects of potential democratic party successes, which has predictably, no less, failed. (And now we are in payback.) What is devastating about it is how that they are playing it to the media. They are blatantly and in bald faced fashion, assigning blame to the republicans as though democrats were not responsible for decidedly forcing the issue of what amounts to as at its simplest, are ’entitlements’. So, not only were we paying for other people to have what they could not afford, but we are paying twice over by bailing them out, and not repairing the problem which underlies this, and now are embarrassed before the world.
Bush, in 2003 tried at length to stonewall the efforts of the democrats who refused to foresee the negative effects which we are now feeling. And even worse, democrats are insisting that ‘lack of regulation’ is what led to this. However, they themselves resisted regulation by Bush and other well informed people, and now claim foolishly that there was not enough! How communist to lie like that. It is amazing that so many people are in a stupor to the extent that they can believe this nonsense and not assign blame to whom blame is due.
