And here I thought that muck slinging was all part of the political process. [pound]

I always thought I was supporting them, by simply showing the truth about the "Other" candidates. I mean, the work involved was so minimal, all I had to do was tell the truth, [Razz] and you can see in that simple fact, who not to vote for, then.

Once you eliminate the worst candidates, those that remain, regardless of how little known are still the best suited for the Job. Only hard part is, trying to overcome the mass media that the “Primary” candidates toss out, to brainwash their followers to believe they are the best of the only two choices, when really they are simply the lesser of two major evils, and by no means the only choice available. But they want you to think that.

Now on the other note, there are many people, that do not believe in “Political Party Affiliation”, because it is a simple means of mind control, once you submit yourself to the belief in a party system, you loose all forms of democracy, as a matter of fact, we went from teaching children that we are a “Democracy” to now we tell them “We are a representative Government” what exactly happened to this democracy we held in such high regard?

But regardless of that stuff, be it as it may. Everyone is open to support any to all candidates, as little or as much as they like.

If you wish it, you can give a dollar to everyone, or a dollar to no one, or only to the people you like, and you can like more then one. It is your free choice to do so as you please, it is your time, your money, your blood and your sweat, use it as you wish.

The only time you are truly forced to choose between them is on Election Day, assuming you wish to vote for any of them, by the time that day rolls around.

You are so correct when you say ”The best advice ever given was "pray for wisdom in all matters" and with the Lords help we can elect the proper person for the job.”

Do not let silly things influence your choices, put your faith in God and be Open to what he tells you, do you truly feel by Gods grace that this is the person you should vote for, then vote for them. Do not vote for them, because they are an “Elephant” or a “Donkey”

True words Brother. [dance]

And welcome to the boards. Glad to have you and Blessings be upon you for your wisdom.

Tyme.

Truly, one may vote for any of the organized parties or for individuals without party affiliation. I even once wrote in an independent candidate on my party's primary ballot (in Ohio, you must declare a party in primary elections - other states have open primaries); that actually made some local party officials stop and think. One voter doing something like that means there are more who will either vote for the opponent in the general election, or at least not vote for their candidate.

If your outlook is long term, support for a third party is a potentially viable option, but viability requires a heavy investment of all resources in the full political process. Most will not make that major investment of time and effort, preferring instead to complain.

As to your recent tag line...

What people do not understand, is that it is not a two party system, never was, never will be. We just fool ourselves to think it so. Here is a fun article to read about 3RD Party candidates.

If you do not like the Democrats or the Republicans you can always vote:

Libertarian Party

Prohibition Part

Socialist Party

Socialist Party

(Yes I know I listed a party twice, it’s two different parties)

The Populist Party (Not sure if this party is still around anymore)

and others, this is just a quick list of some of the different parties you can choose from, and given the tug of war that the current two party system is having, it might very well be time to change the vote, grab this country and lead it in a new direction.

The only person that places limits on your choices, is you.

There are too many cartoon characters running already, including Mr. Nader. I'd write-in my brother-in-law, he's the only Democrat I'd vote for. As for Republicans, Secretary Powell would do a great job, but he's too smart to run. The ones who want the job have proven their unsuitability for it.

On a more serious note, we should all vote. God will put whom he choses in the white house and I could list all the various verses.

And yet...

God also expects us to do His will. If we don't vote, are we doing His will? We pray not because our prayers have the power, but because we faithfully do so knowing He is listening. Our prayers are effective if we are praying to establish His glory. Doesn't God also listen at the polls? Shouldn't we be trying to glorify God at all times?

God placed us in a country where we can vote. If he establishes kings and princes and governors, then he ordained our founding fathers to create this political structure. He again gave us free will to vote and if we don't accept that gift... are we honoring that gift?

We should vote and we should pray before we vote for Divine direction.

God bless you and keep you safe.

I'm still torn.

I was thinking of votinging for either Donald Duck, or Daffy Duck.

I mean, I know Donald has links to Disney. (Who I am told is the Devil)

Daffy has links to Michal Jordan (Who I believe is the Devil)

So I am still torn this year.

To be completely honest with you....President Bush has not affected me personally so I cannot speak from the heart on this one. There has been no difference in my pay check in the last 4 years.....

I don't vote. It's not that I don't believe in voting but....God will ultimately put who He wants in the white house with or without my vote.

If I did vote....of course I'd go for the born again christian, George Bush. This world would be such a better place without liberal dumb-o-crats like John Kerry.

Just my 2 cents.

I am sorry but I am leading towards Kerry. My family has suffered at the hands of President Bush. My son has found a job market where people only want to hire people part time or as contract workers so that they don't have to provide insurances. I have seen too many people lose jobs because of outsourcing . President Bush is for the tax plan that gives incentives to busniness that outsource jobs to other countries.
President Bush wants to do away with people like us who have no insurance buying their prescriptions in Canada. And dont' even get me started on Isreal. President Bush is as bad as Kerry, pushing Iseral to acknowledge a Palenstine State. Ihave read here on this site that President Bush does not believe that the Jews are God's chosen people.
President Bush is for big business and does not care about the common man.

I voted for him last time, back when we had a blanced budget and the job market was better. But, I dont' think I will this time.
It is a sad thing when we have to pick from the lesser of two evils. [crying]

A Christian will have only one moral choice for president in November, and it will certainly not be "Hanoi" Kerry.
