I'm all for a sense of humor; [not too many like to laugh on this group] but I will say it is scary what science is doing. They need to play God. and believe me it will backfire.
But at the same time where is the line of scientific study drawn.
Is science wrong to advance thought ? to experiment on things both living and inert? Is this against God's will? where is the deciding point where science stops.

i hope u guys dont think im evil for thinking this but--- i think thats pretty kewl. how come whenever there's a technological advancement, some people immediately think its the work of the devil? have u ever thought about all the lives a bullet proof vest made out of this material will save?
maybe God meant for us to crack the genetic code-- to understand life more, and to use it to help out, and make things that would benifit more people. i know in Genesis, he did tell adam he could use all His creations, right? and man is the steward for all of it (although alot of PETA activists hate that).
i hope i didnt anger anyone... it was just my own opinion and maybe cast a different light on this topic....

It seems to me, that their god is the same one and the same nature as Is 14:
IS 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O day-star, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations! IS 14:13 And thou saidst in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north; IS 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. ASV 1901
John Wesley Bible Notes:
:12
Fallen - From the height of thy glory. Lucifer - Which properly is a bright star, that ushers in the morning; but is here metaphorically taken for the mighty king of Babylon. Son - The title of son is given in scripture not only to a person or thing begotten or produced by another, but also to any thing which is related, to it, in which sense we read of the son of a night, #Jonah 4:10|, a son of perdition, #John 17:12|, and, which is more agreeable, to the present case, the sons of Arcturus, #Job 38:32|.
ROM 1:21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. ROM 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Father forgive them for they know not what they do. This was my initial response, but before I finished typing it the question arose. "But Don't they?"
What do you think, are they trying to be God? Are they trying to be better than God? What do think goes on in the minds of those bbehind this kind of science?

Scientist mix spiders with goats :cryin:
http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,4562471%255E13762,00.html
LONDON: As comic book hero Spider-Man fills cinemas with his webby adventures, prepare to meet an equally astonishing creation - Spidergoat.
Scientists have combined the DNA from a goat and spider to create an animal which produces silk that is five times stronger than steel. The fibre, derived from the goats' milk, harnesses the huge strength of silk spun by spiders.
The breakthrough could be worth millions because the silkmilk fibre can be used to make body armour which is far tougher than normal bullet-proof vests – while weighing little more than a cotton shirt.
The hybrid goats were created by the insertion of a single gene from an orb-weaving spider into a fertilised goat egg.
The amazing genetically-engineered goats are outwardly normal, but carry the gene responsible for production of a spider silk protein. Each goat is only 1/70,000th spider, but when fully grown the females produce a milk which can be treated to produce a fibre with spider-silk strength.
The animals are believed to be the first commercially-viable creatures made from the DNA of two species.
Nexia, the Canadian biotech company which produced the goats, hopes the fibre – dubbed Biosteel – could take a large chunk of the billion-dollar market in industrial fibres.
